The Object Oracle 🔮
How do the little trinkets on your desk tell us who we will become? Created by Marcela Cruz Félix, this toolkit you will be embarking on an expedition of self-discovery through your possessions.
Objects are more than just things; they are tools that help us achieve goals and create narratives about ourselves - past, present, or future. These narratives play out on different scales, from the personal to the familiar, cultural, and even global. Thus the toolkit was born, curating one’s everyday-life by turning our favourite objects into actions! The Object Oracle 🔮 is toolkit to reflect on how objects are part of our personal narrative: present, past, and future. This toolkit is a retrospective yet self-prospecting exercise where the items surrounding us can be the perfect partners in crime to build that person we want to be in the Future.Â
Inside you will find:
- Three overarching activities with simple step-by-step instructions and timing to guide you through the process
- Accompany worksheets to complete the toolkit exercisesÂ
- A Spanish version of the toolkitÂ
- Access to our Digital Version of The Object Oracle in an Interactive Figma File
You will learn to:
- Prospect and create a new narrative about your future with the help of the objects that surround you
- Take inventory and reflect on your internal self and your identityÂ
- More about the possessions you own, their significance to you, and the history they carry
The toolkit is available on a Pay-What-You-Want basis. We do not expect any compensation for our resources/materials as we want this to be as accessible as possible to anyone and everyone.
